Adventure and Nature
Sonora is one of the largest states in Mexico; it has mountains, valleys, beaches bordering the Sea of Cortez and that contrast with the gigantic Sonoran Desert.
This offers visitors a variety of experiences to live through like outdoor tours and activities that can be enjoyed at a more personal level.
Nature lovers can visit and enjoy many of our Sonoran destinations.
Discover the “World’s Aquarium;” dive in the Sea of Cortez, amongst sea lions, along the islands, on boats, or fish against the panorama of the sun setting over Tetakawi Hill.
Cover yourself with sand from head to toes playing in the immense dunes of the Gulf of Altar, glide on a sandboard or cruise using your 4X4 along the coast of Hermosillo or Huatabampito.
Wheel about in one of the state’s 10 MTB tracks and test your skills on the bike and rest in some of the Rancho Tourist Villages of Sonora.
Row on your kayak or paddleboard along the coast of Sonora and dive into the open sea to visit the islands or the small and exclusive bays where the desert meets the sea.
Prepare your shoes to meet the Pinacate Reserve and its immense craters, camp in the Tecolote or go down in one of the cable carts in Nacapule or Hermosillo.
Search currents in the North Comc’ac (Seris) pueblo in Punta Chueca to lift your headsail or visit the beach of “La Manga” where the Kitera community gathers in the evening to have fun at the party.
